Think of it as a family reunion with people you haven’t met yet.

  • A warm, inclusive atmosphere where every family is welcomed exactly as they are
  • A chance for children to make new friends from across Europe – and for parents too
  • Dedicated children’s workshops and activities during group meditation times, so no one has to miss out
  • Evenings of bonfires, games, and laughter under the stars – for all ages

Discover the Power of Heartfulness

Heartfulness is a simple way of connecting with yourself and others through the heart. It is about pausing for a moment, letting go of distractions, and finding calm inside. With gentle practices of relaxation and meditation, Heartfulness opens the door to clarity, kindness, and balance in daily life.

The Family Seminar is a wonderful way to explore Heartfulness together β€” whether you are already a practitioner, or completely new. No prior experience is needed, and the practices are suitable for the whole family.

What our previous participants have to say:

“I was surprized in the first year we went to Vrads. We played outside from morning to night, and did not even think about screens”

Nico, Netherlands

“It was so nice because we all helped each other always, like when someone fell down we helped them up, and we felt like one big family together!”

Saruna, Germany

ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation is in shared apartments, and the capacity is limited. Therefore, to bring your tent might be a
really good option.
Places will be assigned by the reception team, considering the special needs of families with small children,
elderly people, and people with medical concerns.
You can also choose to take care of your own accommodation by camping outside the ashram, local hotels, B&Bs
and hostels. See List.

LIFE AT THE VRADS SANDE ASHRAM DURING THE SEMINAR
Meditations, activities, meals, etc. take place at Vrads Sande Ashram. Meals are simple, and all food is vegetarian
and often vegan.
All activities and the daily running of the Ashram are based on volunteer work. We request all of you to
participate in the volunteer work that is necessary for the smooth running of a seminar like this.
It is the responsibility of parents to look after their children and not leave them unattended at any time.
We ask you to respect social media etiquette and restrain from posting photos and videos of other Ashram
visitors without their permission.
Please note, that pets are not allowed at the Ashram.
At the end of your stay, please clean the apartment thoroughly, so that you leave it for the next guest in the same
condition you would like to find it yourself.

PRACTICAL TIPS
Only a limited number of duvets and blankets are available at the ashram (10 € rental fee). Therefore, if possible,
please bring your own sleeping bags, quilts or blankets, as well as bedding and towels.
The use of the laundry is reserved for Ashram use. Please use the guest washing machine in the main house
basement and share the machine with other visitors whenever possible. The fee is 4 € for the washing machine,
and 6 € for the dryer.
Danish summers can be quite capricious. Rain clothes, warm clothes, umbrellas, a torch, sun protection and
mosquito repellents may be some useful items to bring.

TRAVEL TO VRADS SANDE

Please arrange your travel all the way to the Ashram!
Sometimes a rental car is a very cost-effective option, when booked from your home country and well in advance. See details here.

You can find more information about your travel to Vrads here.

HEALTH / TRAVEL INSURANCE
Please ensure that you are covered by a European health or travel insurance, as medical treatment in Denmark
can be expensive.

VISA FOR DENMARK
From some countries it is necessary to have a visa to Denmark. The complete list can be found at here.
If you need a visa, please apply as soon as possible.Β

Registration is Open for Everyone!
